Littlestone Golf Course
Except for a few slight alterations by Dr. Mackenzie of Augusta and Lahinch fame, the Littlestone course on the English Channel in Kent is unchanged from the 1920’s. It enjoys a remote setting that will get you away from the hustle of everyday life.It is used as a qualifying course for
the Open when it comes to Royal St. Georges and is as good a test as any Open venue. Beautiful sea views with ocean winds ensuring it to be one of the driest courses in the UK. This leads to fast running fairways and even faster greens that are hard to match for their slick true roll. The links saves the best 'till the end where the closing holes are probably its strongest test.

Many past greats have had a hand in the history of this fine links including Laidlaw Purves, Harry Colt, Alaister Mackenzie, Peter Alliss and Donald Steel.

Great Dixter: One of the most famous gardens in Britain. This is the garden of the plantsman Christopher Lloyd

Description
The choice of courses in England is almost endless for the discerning golf visitor. There are mighty seaside links such as those of Royal Liverpool Golf Club at Hoylake, where the Amateur Championship was born and where Bobby Jones won the Open Championship in his historic Grand Slam year of 1930. There is plenty of historic interest in English golf, with the oldest existing course in England and Westward Ho in Devon. The club was formed there in 1864 and today sheep continue to grace the ancient links on this common land.
